Hi I'm Ben Hoff

My name is Ben. I am 26 years old, a graduate student, a film composer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ben. I was born in Oklahoma, raised in Colorado and went to college in Hawaii. I play 23 instruments but my favorite is the saxophone. I am a avid football fan and love to watch any sport. I enjoy travelling with my beautiful wife, hiking, scuba diving, playing racquetball and most of all, playing music. I am currently studying to become a film composer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is my personal savior and that I must rely on Him in order to be saved. I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon is scripture. I believe that God wouldn't have given a true book to a false prophet, therefore I believe that Joseph Smith must have been a prophet called of God. I am a Mormon because I believe that God still communicates to us through personal revelation, the Holy Ghost and through modern day prophets. I am a Mormon because I believe in giving to the poor and the sick and aiding those in need. I am a Mormon because I believe in missionary work, temples and the priesthood. I spent about two years of my life investigating other churches, Christian and non-Christian alike and have found that, through personal prayer and study, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Church that has the fullness of Jesus Christ's gospel.

How I live my faith

I am proud to be a Mormon and love to tell people about my religion. I also love to learn more about other peoples beliefs and values. In my local congregation I help with the organization of activities for our young single adults. (Ages 18-30). I also go out and visit members of the ward in home visits that we call "home teaching". I am often involved in community service both to members of my church and people of other faiths. In my last congregation, I was a sunday school president, organizing and teaching 5 different classes!
