Hi I'm Vanessa Ingram

I grew up in Arizona. I love to travel and have adventures. I am serving a mission and loving it! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a nanny, I want to study marine biology and cosmetology. I have a strange obsession with Doctor Who, dying my hair a variety of colors, and the ocean. I love taking pictures, traveling, playing volleyball, the violin, and teaching myself the piano. I am obsessed with the color purple. I am currently taking a break to serve a mission. I hope to be able to make a difference in someones life and help them see the joy the gospel of Jesus Christ can bring them. And I love to see beauty in everything that our Heavenly Father has given us on this earth. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church and I love it. I choose to continue to follow this gospel because I believe with all my heart and soul that this is the true church. As a kid I moved all over Arizona we would settle down in a town for a bit then we would move again. Even though that didn't allow me to have close relationships with people I wouldn't change it. We eventually settled in a small town towards the bottom of Arizona. That is were I call home. I lived there the longest, had very close friends and grew to love the church. Eventually I moved from that small town to Georgia. I love the green you see everywhere but I do miss home. While I've been in Georgia I grew to understand and truly love the gospel. My faith was tested to the fullest. I moved just before my senior year in High School. I had no friends I didn't connect well with the girls in young woman's because I was much older and just was unhappy. I met a girl shortly after High School and she became the closest friend I'd ever had. She brought a light to my life. We helped each other become better Daughter's of our Heavenly Father we put everything into the church. And now because of her, friends from Arizona and my family I am now going on a mission to show others the light of the gospel. I am a truly blessed and happy with the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best I can be. In order to do that I read the scriptures everyday and pray to know my potential. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and wants the best for me. I love my family and all the things they have taught me. I know that my Savior lives and loves me. A favorite saying of mine is,"A faith that isn't tested shouldn't be trusted!" We will be tested everyday we just need to show our Heavenly Father that we can withstand the trials we face.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Vanessa Ingram
Family is so important to Mormons because we believe families are for eternity. It is possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united forever. The family is also the center of God's plan for us His children. Show more Show less
