Hi I'm Mary Jane

I am from Salt Lake City. I love to ski and go shopping with my sisters. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior at a University in Provo Utah. I am studying Early Childhood education so that I can teach kindergarten. I have wanted to become a teacher my whole life as I have watched my mom teach preschool and kindergarten. In the winter it is hard to keep me off the mountain because I love to ski. I am also an extremely large Harry Potter fan (Almost a fanatic). I have read and reread the books more times than I know. Nothing makes me happier than a large hot fudge sundae. It is the best treat around. My favorite activities mostly involve shopping with my favorite people, including my mom, my sisters, my aunt, and my grandma. My family is loud and we always have fun. I am proud to be the aunt of two adorable nieces and one on the way! My life is happy and bright and I am so glad that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is apart of that.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky to be born into a family that lives the gospel. As I grew up it was always a part of my life and the activities in my home. I understood the importance it held for both of my parents and the efforts they took to assure that their children would have an eternal family. While I was a teenage I gained my personal testimony of the Book of Mormon as I began to be familiar with prophets of old, and the bright spirituality it brought into my life. This gospel has always brought happiness and light to me. I know that my Savior loves me and I know that he is waiting for me to return to him. I know that God has put a prophet on earth to guide us. I am so grateful for my knowledge of the gospel. I love it with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith everyday mainly by my actions towards others. One of the most important ways I can show others is to treat people fairly and kindly, just as Christ would. It is important as a member of the church to be a faithful disciple of Christ and emulate his actions. Through church activity I am a visiting teacher and I love visiting and becoming friends with other women of my faith and discussion spiritual matters.
