Hi I'm Roger

I'm an eagle scout and Order of the Arrow member from Utah. And I'm a Mormon!! =D

About Me

I just finished my 1st year of college and Southern Utah University. I'm especially fond of participating in various musical band groups, theatrical performances, and ultimate frisbee games with my friends. I enjoy contributing to service-oriented activities like the ones in Boy Scouts of America.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith, but, for a long time, I didn't earnestly seek to learn more about it until I began my seminary classes in high school. Throughout my 4-year-long studies from scriptures like the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon, I learned bit by bit about the purpose of this life and the reality that we are all children of God. Most importantly to me, I realized that, regardless of my quirks and imperfections, God loves me unconditionally. This knowledge gave me the power to make changes in my life, which include losing 55 lbs. of excess weight by the end of my sophomore year.

How I live my faith

While attending Southern Utah University, I was given the assignment of visiting members for teaching lessons about our Gospel, helping them to resolve stress and anxiety, and just being their friend. Many LDS Institute activities like dances and service-projects were held during the year, and I tried my best to attend all of them. The members with whom I associated are such wonderful people, and whenever I felt overwhelmed with homework or maybe even frustrated with myself, they made me feel special. So I strive each day to make everyone else feel special also.
