Hi I'm Ford

I am a swimmer. I have participated in the sport for 13 years and have been coaching for the last 4. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am taking 2 years off of college, where I am studying Engineering Physics, to serve a 2 year church mission. In my free time I enjoy anything outdoors. My favorites include swimming, camping, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. I come from a large family in which I am the oldest, so I did a lot of helping out with my younger siblings. In addition to taking time off of school, I am leaving my family and hobbies for two years so that I can share the beliefs that have brought me so much joy in my life with others!

Why I am a Mormon

When I live by the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have great joy. Whenever I have a problem, I can turn to the gospel to find my answer every time. The gospel teaches me my purpose in life and helps me find joy in fulfilling it!

How I live my faith

I am serveing a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during which my main focus is to help others come unto Christ so that they might enjoy the great happiness that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Ford
Mormon missionaries proselyte because they have found great joy in coming unto Christ by living the gospel of Jesus Christ. They want to share this gospel with others by helping them come unto Christ so that they might also share in this great joy. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Ford
We need the Savoir because we are human and therefore not perfect. If you think about your life in a point where you thought you were living your best, you may find that you still made mistakes. The bottom line is that we are not perfect. The great news is that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can make our lives perfect so that we can return to live with your Father in Heaven. Through the Atonement, we can overcome our shortcomings, mistakes, trials, and sins. Then, if we endure to the end by repenting when necessary and striving to be evermore Christ-like, we can qualify ourselves for eternal life with our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
