Hi I'm McKay

No soy malito, como bastante arroz, vivo aquicito no mas, and I'm Momron!

About Me

I'm currently serving in the Ecuador Guayaquil North Mission. It's a struggle to speak English, since I'm pretty much Guayaco. I love people. Getting to know and learn from people is always an adventure for me. I love learning from the expereinces of others and getting to understand how the Lord has worked in their lives. I started my major at BYU studying political science, and have always loved studying all social sciences. I enjoy big steaks, snowboarding, playing football, but mostly spending time with friends and family. I excel at one thing in life, and that is JUST Dance on Wii. I´m an aspiring public servant, and life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know it is all true! I have had the opportunity to get to know lots of different people and study many different subjects, and the understanding the the gospel brings has always given me the vision I need to have a clear perspective on the way God works in our lives. I am thankful for the spirit that has helped me to know that there are prophets and revelation in todays world. I am mormon because modern day revelations gives me the knowledge of the purpose of life and what we need to do to live together as an eternal family. My number one goal in life is to become a part of an eternal family. I know the teachings in the Book of Mormon come from God because that book has worked miracles in my life. I am very thankful for the heavenly gifts of agency and accountabilty and being able to gain exerience through out our lives. I feel blessed that God let's us work out our salvation which is made possible through our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that the mercy and love that the Lord gained for us through his atonement reaches all who faithfully follow him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing what I know with the people in Ecuador. I believe in being an example of hope and friendship to all those around me. I strive to be someone who others can trust when they need support or someone to count on

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

We are a proselyting church because we believe the Gospel of Christ is sent to bless to lives of everyone. Since what we teach is the gospel which Jesus Christ himself taught, we believe it is the answer to all of the pains, doubts, afflictions, and fears that we feel in this life. We know it is a message of hope and gladness that will change the world one by one, person by person. Personally, I share the gospel because it has encompassed my entire life. I don't know how I could live with out the understanding and hope that a testimony of the truthfulness gives. I also realize that there are many people who do't know what the Lord has revealed. So, just like the savior did, we go door to door, family to family, teaching and the people one by one and inviting them to "come and see". Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that God has given us the ability to make decisions, learn for ourselves, be our own agents, and work out our salvation. Because we will never be perfect in this life, we will never be justified by our works alone. We can only return and live with God through the infinite sacrafice of the Lord Jesus Christ. But, we must use our ability to choose to follow Christ and repent of our sins. We believe that Jesus Christ has prepared the way. Thanks to him and his grace, we will all be resurrected to return and be judged of our works. Thanks to our agency, we can choose to repent and show the works and changes that this repentance has had in our life so that in the day of judgement, we can be welcomed into the Kingdom of God. We are in charge of our repentance and obedience, Christ has done the rest. Show more Show less
