Hi I'm Teigan

I love Christ, I love my family, and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young single adult who has attended college for the past 2 years. I have been studying Speech Pathology and hope to complete minors in both Family and Human Development and Spanish. I have no idea what I want to do with this major but I'm hoping it includes a lot of traveling. I love life as a young single adult in the world today, there are so many opportunities out there for us and we have a lot of choices to make in the next few years. Thank goodness for the church in my life today. The gospel has helped me make it out of high school alive, find good friends, and find the path that I want to be on as I work on making it back to my Heavenly Father. I have been blessed to serve in many leadership callings in and out of the church and have learned so much from them. I love being a leader and it's taught me a lot about following too. As I entered my sophomore year in college, I was called as a Relief Society President for my singles ward. What a blessing it was for me to have this calling and meet all the wonderful young women in my ward. We had a lot of fun throughout the year but the best part has probably been seeing all of my fellow sisters receive mission calls over the past year as the age changed for sister missionaries. I have been called of God to serve a mission and will probably be out there serving as you are reading this now. I can't wait.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon for my entire life. I chose to be baptized as a member of this church when I turned 8 and have strengthened my testimony every year since then. A testimony to me is what you believe, what the spirit testifies to your heart is true even if there isn't evidence. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on this earth today. I know that the gospel will bless your life no matter where you come from. I know that families can be together forever and that this is through the blessings of the temple and the priesthood. I know the gospel is so much more than I've written today but even these few truths are worth being a Mormon. I hope the spirit can testify this to you as you work on strengthening your own personal testimony.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel is hard. As I strive everyday to follow God's commandments, I do sometimes struggle but I also find joy in every corner of my life that contains the gospel. This joy comes from serving others, fulfilling callings, seeing how the gospel blesses others and my own family, and knowing that my family can be together forever. I live my faith by attending church every week, attending single adult weekly activities, praying to my Heavenly Father, and studying the scriptures and other gospel books.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

As a mormon, I belive in the Godhead. That Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three seperate beings who love me and watch over me. I know that the power of the Holy Ghost can help anyone receive a witness of Christ and that after you are baptized and confirmed and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost he will be your constant companion. Many scriptures refer to the Holy Ghost as a Comforter and that is exactly how I feel about Him. My heart feels warm and happy when I hear spiritual things because of Him and as I invite Him to be with me at all times He warns me of dangers. The Holy Ghost is amazing, pray about Him to receive your own answer that He exists and wants to comfort you. Show more Show less
