Hi I'm Adilson

I am from Moçambique. I am a university student. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I like playing football, hang around friends and i enjoy studying mathematics. I am a university student studying Civil Engeneering in year 3. I came from a family of 7.

Why I am a Mormon

I do remember that when i was being taught by the missionaries i wasn't really interested in changing my religious and i wasn't looking to anything else i taught that i was fine and that what i needed to know was satisfied. But during the time as i heard about the restored gospel and specially about the plan of salvation i started to be more interested in what the missionaries had to say and i started my reading in The Book of Mormon. The answer to my prayer about the truthiness of The Book of Mormon came to me when i visited the church (worship service). I felt welcomed and i felt so strongly that that this is the place i needed to be and i felt like I have finished the search I didn’t know I was on. From this day i decided to follow the impressions that i received and in this manner i became a Mormon. I know this church to be the church of Christ on the earth and that The Book of Mormon to be the word of God as the bible also is.

How I live my faith

As i became member of the church i was called to serve as a Sunday school teacher and i served in this calling for a year then i was called to serve as a ward mission leader (served for 1 year and half). Now i am currently serving as a fulltime missionary in England. All those opportunities that i am having to serve others it has been helping me to realise the potential i have but i didn't know about and it is a great blessing also to be able to share the love of Christ with people around me.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

As you study the scriptures, you will grow closer to God and be better able to live righteously. Scripture study will bring you more joy, hope, and understanding of God’s plan and your place in that plan. Jesus Christ invites you to “feast” upon His words (The Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 32:3). This means more than casually reading the scriptures. It means to study them, ponder them, compare verses, learn passages by heart, treasure them, delight in them. As you feast upon the scriptures, prayerfully asking God for understanding, the Holy Ghost will let you know they are true (see Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:4,5). You will grow closer to God. Your faith in and love for Jesus Christ will increase. So will your desire to do good and to be like Him. Show more Show less
