Hi I'm Chris

I am a husband, father, Civil Engineer, and I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I recently moved to the Houston area with a job transfer in my company. I am a Civil Engineer. I love the outdoors. Biking, swimming, hiking, and camping are all things that I like to do. I have a beautiful little family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I felt the spirit as I did so. Many times as I read the scriptures, the spirit tells me that what I am reading is true. The Book of Mormon has a promise at the end, that basically says - When you read these things, ponder them in your heart, and ask God if they are true. He will let you know of the truth of the Book of Mormon by the power of the Holy Ghost. I know this promise is true. I invite you to read the Book of Mormon and do the same.

How I live my faith

Currently my job or "calling" at church is Assistant Scoutmaster. I work with youth in our little congregation here in Baytown. I enjoy attending church on Sundays. It is a good reset for the week, and I love the spirit I feel there. One of the things that has been most helpful for me is consistently studying the scriptures. I feel the Holy Ghost when I read. I love to increase my knowledge of the Savior and his gospel. I know that a consistent, earnest study of the scriptures will bring peace to our lives, power to overcome temptation, and bring us closer to our Savior.
