Hi I'm Katie

I'm from Montana. I'm going to college. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the beautiful state of Montana as the oldest of five children. I am enrolled as a student at Brigham Young University, but am currently serving in the California San Jose mission. I enjoy playing sports, being outside and spending time with friends and family. Hiking, camping, swimming and running are some of my favorite things!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but didn't fully believe for myself until I was not living in my parent's home. When I got to college, I knew I had to decide for myself what I believed in. I had a roommate who was a great example to me, and because of her I began to voluntarily read my scriptures, say my prayers and attend my church meetings. After a while I decided I was ready to know for myself whether the church was true. I prayed to know the answer, and I felt in my heart that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one true church upon the earth. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and reorganized the Church. He was an instrument in the hand of the Lord, and today, Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet. Jesus Christ lives, and he loves me. We are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can live with him again.

How I live my faith

I try to do what the Lord asks of me.
