Hi I'm Hailey

I'm an aspiring songwriter with an intense love of Oreos. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an avid musician, and adore all things music. From playing the piano, to the guitar, to singing, and songwriting, I have found that music is the key to the soul and a beautiful way to express yourself. Classical music is definitely my favorite genre of music because it can be so serene and can calm down even the most troubled soul. I also love my family with all of my heart. They are my best friends, and without them I do not know who I would be. I am extremely excited to be able to start my own family one day and to transfer to them the values and love that I have been taught and shown in my own family. I am a devoted family historian and love to be able to find out facts about my ancestors, and to find what makes me me. Through family history I have found family members I didn't know about and have made them into some of my sweetest friends.

Why I am a Mormon

With all the trials and tribulations in this world, there is one place that I have found peace and comfort. I find that peace and comfort in this church, mostly through my best friend and Savior, Jesus Christ. He knows absolutely everything about me. From the little things like my Oreo obsession, to my inner weaknesses and things that I desire. He also listens to everything that I say and actually cares about every little tidbit of it. He knew that without Him, I wouldn't be able to make it back to live with Him and our loving Heavenly parents again. So He did for me, what no other being could. He went into the Garden of Gethsemane and atoned for not only my sins, but for the sins of every one of my brothers and sisters who chose to come to this earth with me, to endure the trials of life and to encourage and assist each other through it. My best friend, my older brother, my Savior, He did this because he wanted to help me. He wanted to be able to understand me. He wanted to help and understand me so much that he was willing to undergo such agonizing pain that caused Him, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble. He loves me THAT much. And he loves each and every one of you the exact same. He loves us all equally, and He loved each of so much that he was willing to die for us. He was mocked, whipped, scourged, forced to carry his own cross, and had his hands, wrists, and feet nailed to his wooden cross, where he eventually died for you and me. His love is so infinite, that it is incomprehensible. He gave us the greatest gift he could give. He laid down his life for you and me and overcame spiritual and physical death, so that we may have the opportunity to be reunited with our Heavenly Father and Mother again. Along with the Atonement, he gave me the Plan of Salvation which guarantees me that I will be able to see all of my lost loved ones again after I die, as well as be with my family for eternity. I am a Mormon because the peace and truth I find in this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and every day by striving to be like the greatest example of all, Jesus Christ. Sometimes it can be difficult, and I want to give up and fall back into old habits. But then I realize that He knows how hard it can be, and He is always there with me helping me along. Through Him, I can do anything. I also live my faith by showing love and compassion towards those who need it. Sometimes something as simple as a hello or a smile can change someone's day around. I know it, and I have seen it happen. As much as we are all struggling, we can realize that there is someone out there struggling much worse than we are. We can make small sacrifices that might come across to others as huge. Miracles can and will happen when we put ourselves aside and focus on others.
