About Me

Hello, my name is Kiera Rochelle Davis. I grew up in Antelope California (20 minutes north of sacramento). I am the oldest of six children. My family is amazing, i love them more than anything and am so grateful for them. I went to Antelope High School, i was the first graduating class of the school. I attended BYUI for a year, and did BYUI online for a year. I was a nanny in Las Vegas for a year for the two cutest little kids. I am called of God to serve as one of his missionaries in Utica, New York. I love the summer, i love the sun, and i love to swim. I also love to hike (well i used to, last time i went hiking I saw a rattlesnake and i was alone and it scared me so much i haven't been back out since..lame i know.) I love to canoe, go river rafting, exploring, camping, pretty much anything outdoors, being outside is the greatest! I love writing letters, especially to missionaries, i write a lot of missionaries. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and i love strengthening my testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two loving parents who were already faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Being born in a family as such i was taught at a young age the principles of the gospel and how to live the standards of the church. Although i was blessed to have this truth given to me at such a young age, i went through some times in my teen years where i was not so sure about it. During those years i just went along with everything but took no personal interest in the gospel. It was not until my senior year when for the first time i actually decided to read the Book of Mormon and pray for myself to know if it was true that i received a sure confirmation of the truthfulness of the gospel. Until then i had been living off of my parents testimonies but at that time i was able to gain one of my own. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that through him the church was restored. I know that Jesus is the Christ, he is my Savior, and he atoned for my sins. I know that i am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, and that i can pray to him and that he will answer my prayers. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that by reading it we can gain a sure knowledge of it's truthfulness. I love the gospel and i am so grateful for all that it has given me in my life, and i am grateful for the opportunity i have to share it with others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith not only by having a testimony of the gospel, but by being an example of what the gospel is. I live my faith by living the standards that our prophets have placed before us. I live my faith by not participating in activities that are inappropriate or against church standards. I live my faith by attending all of my church meetings and actively participating in them. I live my faith by sharing it with others around me. I love my faith by serving my friends, my family, and people i do not know. I love my faith by reading my scriptures daily and by praying to my Heavenly Father daily for guidance and love. I live my faith by thinking before i act if what i am doing is what my Father in Heaven would have me do. I live my faith everyday because i love my faith and i know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.
