Hi I'm Jacob Jarrell

I grew up in Vidor Texas and am a loud, and proud, Texan. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints in the great California Long Beach Mission. I love spending time with my friends and family. I love laughing and making others laugh. I love snow boarding, Snowmobiling, ATV riding, Jet skiing, anything that makes me go really fast. I am an Eagle scout and have been the crew leader at Philmont scout ranch.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, not because I was born into the church, but because I have my own testimony of the restored gospel. I have this testimony because I have seen the blessings and joy in following Christs Gospel which I know has been restored to the earth and is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I am grateful to have been born into the gospel and into a Christ centered home.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest to follow the perfect example of Jesus Christ, by being an active follower of Him. I strive to perfect myself by humbling myself and allowing God to change my faults and weaknesses and turn them into strengths (Book of Mormon Ether 12:27). While perfection is not possible in this life, I still find joy in trying to be like Christ. I also find joy in sharing the gospel, something that has blessed my life.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Jacob Jarrell
We do not have paid clergy because we do not believe in being paid to do the lords will. Leaders of the church give their time to the congregation and to others out of love for others and love for the Lord. Show more Show less
