Hi I'm Jackie

I'm an everyday girl, who loves to cook and bake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love working in my kitchen baking delicious goodies. I also enjoy spending time with my family. I look forward to becoming a wife and mom someday. I hope to complete my goal of becoming a dietitian. My other hobbies include yoga, sewing, and making things to decorate my future home. I'm a super girly girl, who appreciates the small and simple things in life.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I have seen the hand of the Lord working miracles and pouring out blessings upon my family. I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that is why I'm a Mormon. Last September I was pondering about which direction I should take my life. I spent a lot of time studying the scriptures and praying for guidance. I had a strong impression that something big was going to change my life. During our General Conference the prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, announced an age change for sister missionaries. A couple weeks went by and I finally decided to ask Heavenly Father for guidance. I felt a warm, undeniable feeling in my heart after I prayed, and the words "go - go - go" entered into my mind. I never thought of serving a mission for my church until I heard those words, and felt the power of the Holy Ghost. I have recently received my mission call, and I am so excited to love and serve the people of the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission!!! I know the church of Jesus Christ is true. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, he suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane so that we can have the Atonement in our lives. He made it possible to return to our Father in Heaven again someday. I know that our trials are here to build us up and make us stronger. Heavenly Father will never give us a trial that we cannot bear. He wants to help us stretch and grow - he wants the best for us. I know that our prophet and apostles are men called of God. I know that in the temple, families can be sealed for time and all eternity. I love this gospel so much, and I truly don't know where I'd be without it.

How I live my faith

I was born into an active Latter-day Saint family. My parents have taught me how to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their example. We enjoy attending church meetings together as a family. By attending church meetings, and partaking the Sacrament, we can renew our baptismal covenants. We enjoy having fun and spending time together as a family. We also enjoy praying and studying the scriptures together. My youth leaders have taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ through testimony, music, scripture stories, service, and faith promoting activities. I have learned leadership skills as I served in the Young Women's program of our church. Great friends and church members have created a feeling of unity, love, and support. It has been a testimony builder for me to love and serve others in my family, neighborhood, and community. I have always known that I am a child of God, and that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ always love me. I look forward to having a family one day, and sharing with my testimony of the teachings of Jesus Christ with them. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for all his children. It is important for us to seek his guidance through prayer and living the teachings of his gospel. Jesus Christ has set the ultimate example for us to follow. Because of my testimony and his example, I want to love and serve him by loving and serving others.
