Hi I'm Natalie

I'm a journalist, biology student and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am the Assistant News Editor at my university's newspaper where I am studying to earn a biology degree. Some might think these two areas are unrelated, but I have found that my inquisitive mind is one of my strengths. My attitude towards learning is endless curiosity. When you appreciate your surroundings, there is never truth not worth knowing, or people no one not worth listening to. My faith has also given me strength to challenge myself in my studies and to persevere when assignments get difficult. I live so that I never put limits on the things that I can do. If I didn't have my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ It would be hard to keep going in some of the challenges I face. One of the promised blessings that keeps me going is found in Doctrine and Covenants 130:18, that "Whatever principle of intelligence we attain into this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection." Knowledge we gain in this life will remain with us forever, and not be taken away. The purpose of this life is to gain knowledge and experience but it is not for anyone person to narrow that purpose down to one experience or way of life. We, as God's children, should not judge each other, as we come from different experiences and all have something good to offer each other. Recognizing that God is all knowing and loves everyone as a spirit with great worth has helped me to love others and refrain from judging them. These things have lead me to great happiness in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am converted to the Church of Jesus Christ because I received a witness of the Jesus Christ as the sufferer of my sins. Jesus Christ, the son of God suffered for my sins out of love for me, that he and my heavenly parents see me as a being of great worth and have provided me with many fantastic blessings.

How I live my faith

At my university, I take classes to learn more about the scriptures. It is an opportunity for me to be inspired and share my testimony with my peers and teachers.
