Hi I'm Kristen

I'm Alaskan grown. I'm a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the Scotland/Ireland mission! Prior to my mission I lived in Alaska my whole life and absolutely love it there! I then attended UNI in Idaho at BYU-Idaho (or BYU-I do). I prefer Alaska far more than Idaho, but I enjoy going to school surrounded by Mormons and people with the same beliefs and morals as me. I enjoy being outside as much as possible! In the negative 20 below weather in the winter I still enjoy going out snowboarding and snowmachining. While in the beautiful summer I enjoy soaking up my vitamin D from the sun being out 24-7. :) I love boating, wakeboarding, tubing, and all sorts of fun out in the water. However, I get sea sick if I'm on a sailboat or ferry..in those instances I prefer being in the water than on a boat surfing it.

Why I am a Mormon

In 2009 I was introduced to the church through attending church one Sunday. That Sunday changed the rest of my life. I had some of the best missionaries teach me about the gospel. After a few months of investigating and gaining a testimony for myself I was baptized in the river. :) I will never forget the day I was baptized and confirmed into the church.

How I live my faith

By serving a mission! :) And continuing to be a life long missionary even after I am set apart from being a full-time missionary of the Scotland/Ireland mission. I have opportunities each day to share with others my beliefs and the joy I have found from being a member. I know the happiness I have today is from living the gospel everyday in my life.
