Hi I'm Caleb

I'm an average College Student. I bake tasty stuff when I have time. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the average 20 something in school working to finish my degree like many others. I'm think computers are neat! I like to think logically and problem solve! So i'm working on receiving a computer science degree. So that's cool. I'm the third of six kids, and I love my family. They are rad! I also love to cook! It's exciting to try new recipes ,and taste new things. I like a good book, and even a good movie once in a while. I also believe puns make life great!

Why I am a Mormon

When I'm asked why I'm a Mormon two things come to mind. First, I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me direction and purpose in life. The questions that I have about life have been answered through the restored gospel. I know who I am, why I am here on earth, and what the plan for me after this life is. The gospel of Jesus Christ is way a of life. It's a process of becoming. As I follow the teaching and commandments that are taught by Jesus Christ I feel the influence of God in my life. I'm happy with life, even when things aren't going so well. Seeing the big picture gives me perspective. The things in life that aren't so great right now, aren't weighing me down when I consider the big picture outlined in the Gospel. The second reason, of why I'm a Mormon, is because the gospel rings true to me. As I have learned and studied about the gospel, the Holy Ghost teaches me that what I am learning is true. This spirit has testified to me that Jesus is the Christ. The Savior and Redeemer. It has taught me that the Book of Mormon and the teaching within it are from God. God's influence is more prevelant in my life. When I follow the teachings of Christ, the Spirit, or influence of God, confirms to me that the things I am doing and learning are true. This is the same pattern that anyone can follow to know truth, and It's found in the Book of Mormon; Moroni 10:3-5. I invite you to read it as I have, and ask God.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is way of life. I find that you can live it most effectively as you serve and are kind to others. It doesn't take much to do, but it does take getting outside of yourself. When you see someone struggling, it is an opportunity to reach out and offer support. When you see others around, you can give them a smile or a hello. It doesn't take much to lift someone else. As a church we visit others to offer help, support, and friendship. We try to emulate the Savior, because the Savior went about doing good. I feel like the New Testament phrases it perfectly. John 13:34 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." Learning from the Scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father is key in helping me live my faith. Doing those things motivates me to serve as Christ would.
