Hi I'm Brittany

Wife, student, daughter, sister, friend. California born and raised. I like learning, reading, discovering and traveling.

About Me

I'm a college student with a love for learning and exploring. I love to curl up with a good book or travel to new places. I'm a listener and I love to organize. I love spending time with family and friends and trying new recipes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were practicing Mormons and I grew up with Gospel teachings in the home. I knew they always brought peace and love into my home and my life and I loved praying to my Heavenly Father. Now, I have found my own witness of the truthfulness of the gospel through tender impressions from the Holy Ghost. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it was translated by His power by His prophet Joseph Smith. Because of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, I know that Jesus Christ is my elder brother and my Savior. Every day I am grateful for the sacrifice that He made that enables me to repent of my sins and promises me a life beyond this one where my family and I can be together.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to be better than yesterday. To me this means being kinder, being friendlier, being more empathetic, being slow to judge and quick to uplift. It means being the best version of who I am. By serving others I find the greatest joy and I draw closer to my Savior as I strive to emulate His example.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Our loving Heavenly Father created both men and women and loves each of his children, regardless of gender. If anything, I have felt empowered by my faith in Jesus Christ, who through his suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane became the only man to understand intimately the physical and emotional trials of a woman. My membership in the Church has blessed me with many opportunities to develop as a leader and a server. As a woman, I have a divine nature and a physical ability to bear children. With the support of a righteous husband, I one day may be blessed with my own family to love and to nurture. Husband and wife together are equal before the Lord and have dual responsibility to raise children and create a home for them. My knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has enabled me to pursue higher education and become all that I can as a woman, as a citizen, and as a child of God. Show more Show less
