Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in California. I am an advocate for modesty. I try to love as Jesus does. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for my whole life. I know that this gospel is true because of the things I have seen and witnessed throughout my life as I have experimented upon it's teachings. I have prayed to know of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, and the Prophets and Apostles of this church. I have received my answers and have a strong testimony of this gospel. I am attending Brigham Young University - Idaho, and I am half way through with my Art Degree (Photography emphasis). I'm a nature/landscape photographer, and a portrait photographer. I love being able to see the Lords creations from a different perspective and share them with others through the pictures I take. I love to play volleyball and piano, as well. My family means the world to me. Where ever they are, a part of my heart is with them. I am the middle of 5 children. My siblings are my best friends, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am going to be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from November 2016 - May 2018 in the Florida Tallahassee Mission. I'm eager and excited to bring others to the joy and truth which is within the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was a young girl, I have seen others in the world around me have contention and trials in life and struggle through them as they seek answers as to why they have to go through these rough times. I have noticed unhappiness in the lives of friends and acquaintances. I have seen families who have been destroyed because of worldly influence in the home, and non-committed family members. I have seen satan attack people around me as I live my life in the gospel. I couldn't ever imagine my life without the true church and its influence on me and my family. As I have seen these people go through these things and be influenced by these things, I have had such a strong desire to tell them what I know is true and helpful to their lives individually. Our Heavenly Father loves each and every single one of us, despite our wrong doings. Christ came to atone for our sins so we could have the chance to stand spotless before our Father once we've passed and be able to know we have lived a righteous life through our desires and actions while here. I love my Heavenly Father and the opportunity He has given me and those around me to live this life with His guidance and love in our daily lives. I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and the decision He made to come to earth and atone for my sins and wrong doings so that I could return to Him and His Father again. The Holy Ghost is very special to me; He knows me very well and I love Him for informing and comforting me when I ask for help. I love this life, but that is simply because I love the gospel and live it to it's fullest because of the restored gospel on the earth in these latter-days. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me so much happiness in my life, I can't begin to describe what my life would even begin to look like without it-simply because I do not want to think of that. I love the life I have been given and blessed with, all thanks to this gospel and the miraculous things that come from it.

How I live my faith

I have served as a president or counselor in a few different organizational programs. These callings have helped me grow and become closer to the Lord, and His children. Within the callings, I have come to find that service is an essential part of my life. I have seen it change lives for the better, time and time again. As we give to and help others, service is a wonderful way we can show the Lord how grateful we are for giving us all that we have in this life. The gospel of Jesus Christ is something that I live by. I am open with my faith and often share the standards of the church because I'm grateful for the blessings they've given me throughout my life and know of the positive impact they have if one acts in faith. Social media is one of my favorite ways to be an example of Christ. Sharing goodness across the world is something that is very much needed in these modern times!
