Hi I'm Lexie Gatherum

I am from Utah. I attend college at Brigham Young University and I'm now going to serve a mission in Ecuador! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I am not attending college, I enjoy spending my time with my family. I am the oldest of three kids. We are a close family and love taking trips together, such as going to Disneyland! I am majoring in Elementary Education and planning on minoring in Spanish. I enjoy being outdoors as well as staying inside to watch a good movie. I love being surrounded by close friends and family and hope to make a difference in their lives by striving to do my best each day!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I was born a Mormon, and I continue to follow Christ's church. Over the years, I have gained my own testimony and I can now rely on it instead of what my parents have taught me. Through their help, going to church, attending Especially For Youth, and from other's testimonies, I have received my own testimony. I know this is the true church and I am forever grateful to be apart of His Church. I know that I am a child of God. Our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us. He wants us to strive to do what is right so that we can return to Him someday. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to help us return to Him. When we follow Christ's example, we are blessed. Although we are put through trials on this earth, when we look to Christ, we can overcome these trials and grow stronger in our faith. I know that when we pray and read our scriptures, we can receive personal revelation that can help us through this life and gain a stronger testimony that God is there. He hears every word of our prayers. He has given us the scriptures as guidance. I love this gospel and when we live it, we can gain true and everlasting happiness. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. It is part of my life. The way I think, act, and speak are results of what I believe in. I am currently a teacher in my family ward. I teach the 16-18 years old group in the Young Womens organization. I love being able to help them grow spiritually because it helps me to grow as well. I attend church meetings every Sunday and other meetings when asked to do so.
