Hi I'm David

I am a disciple of Christ

About Me

Hi my name is David. I love to play sports, especially Football and Basketball. I played on my high school football team for four years and I am looking forward to playing ball in college. Sports have been a major factor in my life and I have enjoyed competing against my opponents. It hasn't been easy, but I think it has been worth it. When I first started playing football in the 9th grade I was terrible!! I decided that instead of starting off small and going in to little league my first year I would go straight on to the sophomore team at my high school. During the entire first season I was the kid who was always last and I got the crap beat out of me by the other more experienced at this game. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. I didn't see much playing time that first year, but I never gave up. During the off season I worked harder than ever before. I practiced everyday by myself and I was constantly hitting the weights. By the time my sophomore season started I was a starter at wide receiver.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I have read the Book of Mormon, asked Heavenly Father about it and I know it is true. There is no other true church on the face of the earth other than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have felt the Holy Ghost and it has confirmed it to me. If you go and pray to Heavenly Father than he will also let you know it is true.

How I live my faith

Right now I am preparing to go and serve a mission in Villahermosa, Mexico!! I am so excited to go and serve the Lord and help the people of Villahermosa!! It is going to be an amazing experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life. The Lord has prepared me to go and serve a mission right now and with out delay. When ever you put your trust in the Lord he will never lead you astray. I know the Lord will lead me to the people that he has prepared for me to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father knows so much more than I do, and leaving my family, friends, and every thing that I have ever know for these past 18 years is really hard. However, the Lord wants me to go and serve and so I will go and do as he commands.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

We believe that we must follow the Law of Tithing. Its not so much about how much money you are giving, but how much faith you have. If you really think about it Heavenly Father has given you everything on this earth. So in reality you are not giving back 10%, He is giving you 90%. Show more Show less
