Hi I'm Leon Roper

I'm a farm boy from Idaho. I love the outdoors, and love to be with my family and friends, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have worked on a farm all of my life, and have experienced the opportunity to work and to figure out things for myself. Whenever I have spare time I love to spend it with friends and family, ride dirt bikes and hunt in the mountains. I am serving a mission for the church in Santa Rosa California, then I plan to attend college for a higher education and get married and have a family.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a mormon is a conscious choice I have made because of the lifestyle we live, like the word of wisdom and law of chastity for example. I follow these rules because I have seen the negative effects in the lives of people who do not following them. Its like wearing a seat belt, you can choose to wear it but if you don't you will get seriously hurt when you crash. The guidelines we follow in this lifestyle are not restrictive, on the contrary. They protect us from addictive behaviors, and allows us the freedom to act of our own free will. A person who is addicted to alcohol or pornography are no longer free, they are ruled by those addictions. I am grateful for a father in heaven that loves us enough to give us guidelines to protect us.

How I live my faith

Service is one of my favorite things to do. Being involved in Boy Scouts and my church has given me lots of opportunities to serve. Our Savior Jesus Christ led by example, and his life was a life of service to God and his brothers and sisters. I'm trying to follow His example by trying to whats right and by serving those around me.
