Hi I'm Carter

"I live in Hawaii. Im a Father of five and a husband of one. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

One of my newly found passion is reading, especially the Book of mormon. I really enjoy spending time with my family and taking long drives around the island.

Why I am a Mormon

One evening upon walking my girl friend home she made a statement. " One day you will become a member of my Church". My reply was simply, " Fat Chance". So we finally got married and I moved in with her family for a while. Her family woke up at 5am to have a family prayer and I was invited. At first I thought it was weird but the feeling I had was unexplainable. Next, I was invited to a Family Home Evening. Her family met on Monday nights, we had a lesson and discussion about spiritual things. I had that same feeling again, the feeling of love and peace. Then, she introduced me to the missionaries who taught me more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and invited me to be baptized. That feeling that I had during the prayers, FHE and now going to Church and being taught by the missionaries just got stronger to the point where I couldn't deny that it was the right thing to do. So I got baptized in December of 1989 and we entered the Temple a little over a year after, which became the crowning moment for me. Not a day goes by that I thank my Heavenly father for placing in my life, my wife who did her part as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and shared it with me and made good her bold statement that "One day you will become a member of my Church". I know that My Redeemer lives, I know and feel the love of a Heavenly Father, I know that there are living prophets in our midst in these the latter days. I highly recommend that you read the Book of Mormon and gain a testimony of it. How do I know these things? Those feelings I mentioned earlier was the Holy Ghost manifesting to me of the truthfulness and divinity of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by trying to be the best Father/Husband and Priesthood holder I can be. I'm greatful for the opportunity that I have to serve people. I'm also greatful that I have an opportunity to work with teenagers in my community through coaching in PAL(police activity league) basketball and football programs.
