Hi I'm Jillian Bentley

I am an SoCal L.A. girl. I have permanent ink stains on my fingers. I don't ever want to grow up. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love art and practice this love daily. I received an Associates in Computer Animation and have been attending a University in hopes of achieving a Bachelors in a double major of Art History/Curatorial Studies and World Classics, afterwards I will seek a Ph.D in Art History and hope in the future to become a Curator at the Uffizi (or any other musuem), teach a class at a University, and help in the restoration of ancient Hellenic objects of cultural signifigance. I love playing Soccer and I am a referee for the sport. I love playing guitar most especially classical guitar. I also play the piano and sing. Currentley I am serving a mission in South Dakota.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in an eternal God who gave his only begotten Son to the world, and that Son sacrificed himself of his own will so that we could one day return to the presence of our God. I know that the Book of Mormon, just like the Holy Bible, is another Testament of Christ and His love for us, and that the Book of Mormon is a history of the "other sheep" of Christ's fold. I am a Mormon because I know that it is the true church of Christ, and that someday I can return to my Heavenly Father and be sealed to my family for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a family that was pretty active in the church. But when I turned 13 I decided I didnt want church so I became inactive until I was 16. For three years I had the hardest trials I ever thought I could have. I became involved with the wrong crowd and the wrong things and I was in a downward spiral, my self esteem was gone, I was taken out from Public High school as a freshman, and I became harmful to myself. Finally at 16 I met and made good friends who helped me, they made me stand on their testimonies until finally I tried out Moroni's promise to read the Book of Mormon and pray if it was true. It worked, and I finally had sommething i believed in with my whole heart. With that faith and the strength of family and friends, I became someone who loves themselves and took the atonement into my life. I was able to finish high school and graduate early through homeschool. I was able to make up 4 years of seminary also graduate from that. I was able to get a scholarship to attend a major university and I have never felt better or stronger as I daily pray and read. Currentley I am serving a mission for the LDS Church in South Dakota, and it is the greatest thing I have ever done. I want to share my testimony and the healing powers of Christ with everyone.
