Hi I'm Gabriel Walker

I love acting, playing the bass guitar and cooking. I want to co-own a restaurant chain with my friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

About me? Well I am currently serving a mission for my church in the great state of California. But honestly I'm a pretty big nerd. I play Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons, I love Pokemon and most importantly I love Star Wars. But seriously anything nerdy you can name and I'd probably like it. When I finish my mission I plan on going to a community college and then Transfer to the University of Utah to study programming in regards to making video games. I love writing and reading as well. But I'm also super into sports. I love football, basketball, and baseball. Those are my big three. Team wise i like the Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bulls, and Detroit Tigers. Well I guess that's me!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon partially because I grew up in this church but primarily because I love God. I believe that He is my loving Heavenly Father and because He loves me he has put me into a wonderful family and called prophets since Adam. These prophets have been given the authority to act in God's name. This is a pattern that continued to Christ. But after Christ died for us and his apostles were killed off, God's authority was no longer on the Earth until in the 1800's with a boy named Joseph Smith Jr. Through Joseph Smith, God restored his priesthood and brought back his church how he wanted it to be. The convincing evidence of this for me is The Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is similar to the Bible because it is the record of God's dealings with the people of the ancient Americas. I know that this is true and it is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith currently by serving a mission. As a missionary my purpose is to invite people to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. After my mission I plan on being active in my community, by serving others, volunteering at soup kitchens and libraries.
