Hi I'm Trent

I love playing sports and I love performing music. I love giving service and I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary serving in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. I appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow myself and also the chance to help others come closer to Christ. I am having such a blast on my mission and I'm learning soooo much! I come from a family of seven kids. Before my mission I was actively involved in many different things in high school. I was a two time state football champion and I loved playing football. Football is also something that brings my family together. I also did basketball and track and field. I love music and sang in a competitive choir. Choir was tons of fun, I'm glad I get to sing with the congregation every Sunday. I was a member of the National Honor Society and I loved participating in those service opportunities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the wonderful affect of Christ's atonement in my life. The feelings when you come to just a small understanding of what Christ did for us are stronger than any other that I could describe. Even more amazing to me is that Christ's atonement is so personalized and is fitted to every single one of God's children. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and loves each and everyone of us. I have come to know these things by reading The Book Of Mormon and then asking if it is true. My prayer was answered with an undeniable yes. I know Joseph Smith restored all priesthood keys to the earth and was a prophet of God. I know that there is a living prophet today, and he is the mouthpiece of Heavenly Father. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. No amount of fancy words strung together can replace that purely true statement. I'm a Mormon because I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want me to be.

How I live my faith

I am a full time missionary. I have always planned on serving a mission. My mission is a great opportunity for me to serve people and help people. I love sharing how by being obedient to the commandments I have gained true happiness. All the sacrifices that I have made to be on a mission have ended up not being sacrifices at all. They have all ended up being blessings. Back home I was often asked questions about my church at school and in the community. Those opportunities got me so excited because its a chance to share a little of what I know is true. My friends on the football team actually replaced my name with "the Mormon". This reminds me how important it is to live my faith all the time and not just at church on Sundays. It is so awesome how learning happens in two directions. My ward is like a second family to me. They are encouraging in everything I do and support me more than I could ever know.
