Hi I'm Hamilton

I am a student at Brigham Young University. I'm an adventurer, scholar, sportsman and sibling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Issaquah, Washington. It is here that i have developed many interests and laid a foundation for my life. In high school i played football, wrestled, and ran track. I also was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and got involved student body leadership program. Through these activities i learned to love adventure, the outdoors and people. In high school i bought a 1953 Jeep Willys Wagon. I love taking it four wheeling and receiving strange looks as i drive it around. I am now attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I love the mountains and the beautiful seasons there. I just received my mission call to Montreal, Canada and i will be speaking the French language.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be true. As i have devoted my life to following Christ's teachings i feel joy, purpose, and love. I know that when i do as He would do I am doing what is right. I have read, studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon. Its contents, like the bible, have brought me closer to God. The ability of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to bring me closer to God and feel His Spirit is why i am a Mormon. Its teachings are truer than anything i have ever found.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being the best me i can be. In a world where standards and morals are often hidden and diminished it is easy to be confused and give into temptations and bad habits. I try to be an example to others of doing what i know to be right. I try to live a life of integrity and honesty in every situation. By being honest with myself i show my faith. One of the best ways to show my faith is by serving others and helping them in their journey. Christ is the ultimate example of this. By limiting my exposure to negative things (inappropriate music & movies, harmful friends, drugs etc.) and increasing the positive things in my life (family, scriptures, true friends etc.), I am able to keep myself pure and show unto others my faith in Jesus Christ.
