Hi I'm Rachel Taylor

I'm a Texan. I'm always laughing. I'm crafty and creative. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Texas and love it with all my heart. I love to laugh and fully believe that laughter is the best medicine. I love to paint, draw, or do anything crafty and creative. I am currently a student at BYU studying Graphic Design. I'm engaged to the love of my life and best friend, and getting married in December 2015 in the Houston Texas LDS Temple. I look forward to spending eternity with him. Life is crazy, but living the Gospel of Jesus Christ just makes it that much easier!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into an active and faithful family in the Mormon church. I always loved church, but I didn't really love being Mormon and appreciate my faith and standards that I had until I saw how it affected my life compared to everyone around me. My own personal conversion happened probably at the beginning of high school when I had friends that didn't believe in what I believed and didn't live the standards that I lived. As I progressed through high school and saw how their choices took them in a direction I didn't want to go, I began to be grateful for the choices that I made and for the direction I was headed in life. I am who I am because of my faith and standards and I am beyond grateful for where I am in life right now. I know who I am, where I came from, and what my purpose on earth is. This gospel has brought me so much joy and I am so grateful for where my path has taken me and for the people I've met along the way. Being a Mormon and knowing the things that I know has been the biggest blessing in my life and I would not be who I am without it. I receive so much comfort in my beliefs and standards and I am beyond thankful everyday that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by honoring my leaders and by participating in weekly meetings and activities. As a member of this church, I strive to strengthen relationships with the other members and to be a good example to everyone around me at all times. I know that leaders in this church are called by God and it is important that we follow and stand by them. I feel that strong bonds with the other sisters or women in the church are important because they become the best support group for anything you are going through. I'm grateful that I can find friendship and love within this church and that I can be a friend to others as well.
