Hi I'm Karsten Eliason

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Oregon Until I was about 12. In Oregon I went to Yujin Gakuen a Japanese immersion school. I went to that school from Kindergarten to Fifth grade (six years of Japanese). I then moved around inside Oregon and Lived in a very small town that had about 2000 people. I then moved to North Carolina. While In NC I participated in lots of activities. I Participated in Boy Scout's And was able to receive my Eagle Scout Reward. During my Sophomore and Junior year I participated in cross county and wrestling. My favorite after school activities were Mountain Biking and Reading. In 2012 I was in the work crew For the Nauvoo Pageant, an amazing experience. My senior year of High School I graduated early so that I could go on my mission. The church moved the age of when you could go on a Mission to 18 years old. I am currently serving in the Salt Lake City West Mission. I Preach the Lords gospel in Spanish. Through him I know all things are possible even me learning Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been Mormon my whole life but it wasn't until the later years of High school that I really knew that this church was true. I had the opportunity to be on the work crew for the Nauvoo Pageant. There is Ten work crew members. Five of the work crew members controls the stage. The stage is a massive moving stage three large sections in the middle move up and down and there are houses that pop out from the stage. The other Five control spot lights There are four massive towers (two are about 70 feet tall and the other two about 90 feet tall) that have the lights on them. So the other five usually took turns on the light towers, but the time that I was at the Nauvoo Pageant there were only four light crew members. The day that we arrived at the Pageant they divided us to who was doing what. They chose me for the light towers. At this time a had a major fear of heights. That very day we went up. The experience was amazing I put my faith in God and just climbed the tower I felt no fear. At the time I was just thinking wow, how is this happening. Now I know that god can change people. This was my first Personal Experience. In the pageant there is an amazing scene were they hoist up the Temple. This is a amazing part of the show. After I had been there for a few weeks I had probably Watched the pageant about 20 times. I don't know if that day I was more spiritually inclined or what. But as I saw that scene I knew for a fact that the Temple is the house of god.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by serving a mission. I serve in the Salt Lake City West Mission the best mission ever. Before my mission I lived my faith by being an example to my family and friends.
