Hi I'm Kazandra Gamino

I am a full time student at BYU-Idaho studying Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a Mormon!

About Me

My parents are from Guadalajara, Mexico and are both converts to the church. I have an other brother who served a mission in Atlanta Georgia and younger brother who is serving in Pirua Peru. I recently returned from my mission in the Chile Rancagua Mission. I have been a member of the church my whole life. I love to dance especially to latin music. I love the beach and being outdoors. My family is the most important thing in my life, aside from the gospel. Like every family we have our ups and downs but thanks to the gospel of Jesus Christ we have been able to pull through many trials that life has brought us. We are not perfect but our Savior gave his life so that we can be together as a family for eternity, thats what we fight for.

Why I am a Mormon

Ive been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. When i tell people that they tend to discredit my faith a little bit. They question me and ask if i really do believe that this is the true gospel or do i just go along with it because its how i was raised and my parents and church leaders tell me its true. for a while i felt a bit sad because i would here so many amazing conversion stories and how people completely changed their life because of it. And here i was raised in the church, no cool story about the missionaries knocking on my door or finding me walking down the street. I never had a doubt about the church, my faith, or my testimony, but i still felt like i needed to explain to my friends and others why i believed in this gospel. One night, before i went to bed, i got on my knees closed my eyes and said a pryer. i asked my Heavenly Father to please confirm that everything i have been taught as a child was true. i asked if this was his tire church, if joseph smith was a prophet. i asked f he was sent to restore the gospel in this dispensation. i asked Him if the book of mormon was true and if it contained the fullness of the gospel. and just as i closed my prayer it happened...my moment of conversion... nothing can really describe the overwhelming and profound feeling of peace and comfort that came over me in that moment. i didnt hear the Lords voice nor was he standing infront of me but i felt deep in my heart and knew that everything was true. Thats just one moment. Throught my life i have had multiple moments of conversion. I am constantly reminded by the spirit that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ive had many trials, ups and downs, but i always feel the Lords love for me. He guides me in all that i do.He has been my greatest strength and comfort. At times when i felt alone, afraid or lost i knew i cold count on him to help me and get me back up on my feet.

How I live my faith

I attend church every sunday with my family. i always look forward to my youth group activities. there are so many young adults just like me that i can relate to and lean on when i need support. i really enjoy going out with the sister missionaries and help them find and teach new investigators
