Hi I'm Scott Cryer

I love spending time with friends and family, I love playing soccer, and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I am from Utah, I love sports, music, and spending time with those I love. I grew up in a wonderful home with loving Parents. I learned throughout my youth that I am a child of God, and that Jesus Christ is my Savior. This knowledge has blessed me in all aspects of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I chose to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ and be baptized. I made a covenant stand as a witness of Jesus Christ, to remember Him, and to keep his commandments. I strive to live my life the way Christ lived. He truly was our perfect example. I do these things because I know them to be true. "Christ way is the path to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come" (The Living Christ), that is something I have seen in my life and the lives of others who have "taken His yoke upon them" (Matt 11:28-30). I have received a witness that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church and that all principles and ordinances within are true, through the power of the Holy Ghost. My Father in Heaven loves me, He loves me enough that he sent his son Jesus Christ. Jesus has suffered the pains, afflictions, and sicknesses of the world that he might be able to "succor his people in their infirmities" (Alma 7:11-13). Through the Saviors atonement I am able to "put of the natural man" (Mosiah 3:19), I am able to change. The divine gift of forgiveness has freed me from the past, and empowers me now to change my future. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my home, the home is the best place to learn and to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I read pray teach serve and love within the walls of my home. I live my faith by repenting of the things I fall short on, rely upon the Grace of Christ and become a new creature through his transforming power.I live my faith by striving to emulate the example of the Savior. In the church we also are giving opportunities to serve in positions, called callings, within the church (i.e. Teachers, Leaders, Coordinators, etc.) these positions help me to serve and to love all those around me. I LIVE MY FAITH BY TRYING!! I am not perfect, I have flaws. The Gospel helps me improve day by day.
