Hi I'm Suzanne S

I grew up in Draper, Utah. I recently organized a symphony and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of four and step-mother to 7 more. I am also a grandmother to 17 grandchildren. I am married to my best friend. I play the flute, oboe and piano and I love uplifting and fun music. I recently started a small symphony in my area and enjoying that very much! I have lived in several different states in the U.S., but have finally settled down in a small rural town. I work at a Walmart Vision Center as an Optician.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! This church answers all of my questions about who I am and where I come from. I know this church is true! This is the only place that I have found true peace. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that he restored the only true and living church back on the earth. I know that Jesus Christ IS my Lord and Savior and through His atonement, I can return to live with Him. I am grateful that we have apostles and prophets to lead and guide us in these latter days.

How I live my faith

I am assigned to two ladies in our ward to visit each month. They are very special people. I have substitute taught lessons at church and have also been a nursery leader for the 18-month to 3-year old children. I currently am a Sunday School teacher for the 12 and 13 year-olds. These kids are amazing because they are so smart and they already understand so much of the basics of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I study my scriptures daily and engage in prayer every day as well. The daily scripture study is helping me to focus on becoming more Christ-like. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I LOVE my Savior! I am so grateful for His Atonement because without it, I would have been lost so very long ago. I also love to watch the Bible Videos that are on LDS.org. It helps me to understand much of what the Savior taught. Whenever I need a spiritual lift, I utilize the media library links that are also there on that website.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Suzanne S
I believe that we are meant to have apostles and prophets just like they did back in the times of the Bible. We are blessed to have apostles and prophets to lead and guide us. The Bible has good direction for us but in these times when the world is turning away from religion and God, it is a blessing and relief for me to have a modern-day prophet to help guide us through these troubled times.
