Hi I'm Joss Engen

I grew up in Calgary, Alberta. I love Volleyball and Basketball. I am now serving a full time mission in Barcelona, Spain

About Me

I am the youngest of four boys. All of us have enjoyed sports growing up, my personal favourites are basketball and volleyball. I also enjoy wake boarding and snow boarding. I have played several instruments in the past, such as: baritone, trumpet, french horn, percussion, piano, and now my favourite is the guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

Started at birth, following the example of all 3 of my brothers and both my parents. growing up i had multiple experiences of which i knew my Heavenly Father answered my prayers. My testimony grew enormously. Now as a missionary i have seen this Gospel touch the hearts of those around me as well as my own. i know now more then ever that this is the true church of Jesus Christ in the world

How I live my faith

I have had several priesthood positions growing up. Deacon Quorum President, Teachers Quorum President, Priests Quorum First Councillor and home teacher. Graduated from seminary in 2012. While in college i served as a ward missionary as well. I live my faith mostly by trying my best to be like Jesus Christ was when he was on the earth and trying to serve all of those around me

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Joss Engen
The main reasons are so that we can receive a physical body, also so that we can exercise and practice our free agency that was given to us by our heavenly father. some other reasons are so that we will learn and gain experiences that will help us become more like our heavenly father and so that we can form family relationships which have a chance to become eternal relationships. Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Joss Engen
In the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints we ``And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.´´ (see 2 nephi 25:26). In order to accomplish this prophetic declarance we must know the life of Jesus Christ and throughout the Bible there are his stories, parables, as well as miracles that he performed. Knowing how he lived can help us know how we need to live. Our earthly goals should be to follow his example and his example is clearly stated in the Bible. Show more Show less
