Hi I'm June Smith

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a wife, a mom, a grandma, a daughter a sister. I have six children. I love helping my family. I enjoyed serving a mission with my husband in the Philippines. We have grown closer together and our love is stronger thru our experiences. I enjoy sewing and quilting. I love to read and belong to two book clubs. I love to plant Gerber daisies in my in my garden and I don't like dandelions in my lawn but I enjoy them when my granddaughter gives me a bouquet she has picked when we have gone for a walk.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a strong faithful family. My parents encouraged me to participate in church activity. I liked going to church with my family and sitting together in our worship service. During my teenage years I shared my testimony with my friends and participated in reading the scriptures and leading the Lord's prayer in my high school's morning devotional. Attending seminary during high school also helped me come to know for myself that being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints was what I wanted in my life. I read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. As a young girl our family visited the Sacred Grove in Palmyra New York USA where the prophet Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. In that sacred place I felt in my heart the truthfulness of Joseph's vision. In my life today I know that we have a living prophet on the earth who receives divine revelation from God. I have met and talked with our prophet President Monson. He is a man who listens and acts on the promptings he receives from God. I know that Christ will come again to this earth. I look forward to that day.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in my church. I have worked with the youth and in our women's organization. Teaching children in a nursery class was very fulfilling. I have also participated in humanitarian projects. Being both a service and proselyting missionary has helped me to develop talents and bless the lives of others.
