Hi I'm Brianna

I'm a widow, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love writing, blogging, studying child development and marriage and family, and most of all spending time with my husband and family. I was married to my sweetheart in 2012 and we are beginning to build a beautiful and hopeful life together. Unfortunately trials came soon to us in the form of cancer. My husband is battling brain cancer right now and my hope and prayer is that he will be healed.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and growing up in this church I know there is no other place I would rather be. Jesus Christ is my foundation and my rock. I need this gospel more than I can describe in words. I think about the trial I am going through now and I know that without the gospel in my life I would be a total mess. I would be lost and terribly sad. With the gospel in my life I have strength and hope that everything will be okay in the end. I choose to be Mormon because I know that this church is true. I know it with all of my heart. I know that my husband and I will be together forever if we continue to live our lives in the way that Heavenly Father wants us to be. My testimony continues to build as I hear the Prophets and apostles speak in General Conference. Or when I have the wonderful opportunity to go into the temple. My life is beautiful with the gospel. My life is complete with the gospel. I know it to be true and I will never second guess this choice to be Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trusting in Heavenly Father and his plan for my husband and I. We have grown so much through this difficult trial. I know that my Savior lives and loves me so much. He loves each of us and so does our Heavenly Father. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has blessed my life in more ways than I can even begin to imagine. I love the happiness and hope that it has brought into my life. I rely on prayer and I am never disappointed. I know God hears and answers my prayers. I know it.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I know there is a God because he answers my prayers. When we found out that my husband was diagnosed with cancer I knew that we would be okay because God loves us and he looks out for us. He does not give us trials that we cannot handle. I did not know I was strong enough to handle this trial, but God knew. He knew it would help us to grow and to become better people.
