Hi I'm Gabriel Wahlberg

I live in Mesa, Arizona, but I'm a missionary in Hawaii. I play rugby and guitar, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Mesa Arizona. I'm a missionary in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission and I love the opportunity and the blessing that I have to serve the Lord. I also love to play the guitar and the ukulele, and I also play rugby.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon and I have done my best to stay true to that ever since. I guess why I'm a Mormon is because of the feelings of the Spirit that going to church and being faithful to what I know to be true have brought me. I never have days where I feel that there is no one who cares, because I always have the Spirit and an amazing ward and family who I know really do care.

How I live my faith

I go to church each Sunday and love it every time! I am getting ready to serve my mission in Honolulu, Hawaii, and I'm so excited! I love going to do service projects with the youth groups in my ward and going to all the other fun activities that are held.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Gabriel Wahlberg
Of course we do! The Bible is the Word of God givn to us as a wonderful gift and is Holy Scripture. We have the Book of Mormon go alongside the Bible as comparable scripture. Both the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible go hand in hand and confirm the truths in the other. Show more Show less

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Gabriel Wahlberg
The Word of Wisdom is a statement given to Joseph Smith from God stating that we need to take care of our bodies. As a part of taking care of ourselves, The Word of Wisdom states that we need to keep ourselves separated and clean from tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and any form of illegal drugs. Some people think that this keeps us from doing fun things and takes away our freedom, but the opposite is true. Taking any of these substances makes us slaves and prisoners to addiction. In whom should we have faith?

Gabriel Wahlberg
To have faith is to "hope for things which are not seen, which are true." (Alma 32:21). In our church we put faith in our Heavenly Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ. As long as one has true, immovable faith in God and Jesus Christ, and are willing to act on it in ever aspect, they can't be led astray by the powers of Satan. Show more Show less
