Hi I'm Susan

I was was raised in Utah. I love music, I play the string bass, jazz and classical. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am half way through my college career, studying classical and jazz performance and pedagogy on the string bass. My minor is sewing, and I love the freedom it gives me to create things that I need and want. I have sewn a case and bow quiver for my bass, as well as my concert dress. I also love to bake because I love to eat!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a firm conviction of the truths taught as part of this gospel. There are many philosophers in the world, with many insights to offer, but the organization and teachings of this church are given from heaven. I bear witness that we have a living prophet today who leads and guides us. I also have a firm testimony that we can each receive personal revelation to guide our decisions and to bear witness of God's will. In this gospel I have found joy, and I have seen it bring joy to countless others. This gospel gives me purpose, comfort and hope.

How I live my faith

I enjoy living my life in a way that every day I can do something to show the Lord my thanks for all that He has given me. I do this by respecting myself and others. Serving those around me, even in small ways such as washing dishes or saying hello. Weekly meetings with those in my ward, on Sundays and Monday evenings help to strengthen me each week. I love to hear the thoughts and inspirations of those I know, and to share my own thoughts and feelings.
