Hi I'm Hannah

I'm a competitive swimmer. I'm fluent in American Sign Language. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to swim and spend time with my husband. I enjoy baking bread and trying new recipes. After getting married, my husband and I now attend college together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church helps guide me in the right path back to our Father in Heaven. This church teaches doctrines that are true and I know that if I follow them and strive to be Christ-like through their teachings that I can return to my Heavenly Father as His beloved daughter.

How I live my faith

I love visiting teaching and getting to know the members in my ward. I love becoming closer to my Savior as I do service for others and extend a helping hand whenever and wherever I can.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Hannah
The main part of our church service is called sacrament meeting. This meeting is help in our chapel on Sundays and is about 70 minutes long. Visitors are definitely always welcome and it is common that families attend, so we are used to having children as part of the congregation. The typical meeting consists of hymns which is a religious song found in a hymn book sung by the congregation, prayers offered by local church members, partaking of the sacrament which is similar to communion, which consists of prepared bread and water, blessed and passed by priesthood holders to those in attendance who wish to partake, and two to three speakers who have been assigned topic. There are also other meeting that happen on Sunday before or after sacrament which visitors are also welcome to attend. There is Sunday School for each age group beginning with 12 years old, Primary meetings for children 3-11 years old split into their age groups, there is a nursery available for young children from 18 months-3 y.o., Young Women for ladies ages 12-17, Relief Society for women 18 years and older, and Priesthood for men split in age groups from 12 and older.
