Hi I'm Brett Brown

I'm a husband, a brother, and son. I'm a full time student. I love gluten free treats. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi! I'm Brett. I love to sing, and I play guitar, ukulele, and a little bit of the drums, if you don't mind the quality of the music. I'm a junior at Brigham Young University studying to become a Physician's Assistant. I'm married to the girl of my dreams! I'm a pretty busy guy, but I always try to make time to go on walks with my wife. Sometimes I even get time to read a good book!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ. It's possible that looking through the other information on my profile that you have noticed that I was born and raised as a member of this church, but don't let that deter you! I found out for myself if this church was true. I still remember when I got down on my knees as a 12 year old boy and asked my Father in Heaven in prayer if this church was true. I remember being a little disappointed and frustrated when I felt...nothing. But! I kept praying and kept praying. It was interesting to note that there was never one single moment in my life that I suddenly knew it was true, but over the next weeks, months and years, I started to realize the Spirit in my life. I felt the peace that came when I read the Book of Mormon, the tears that sometimes pricked my eyes when I heard about the prophet Joseph Smith, and the deep love that I felt emanating from Jesus Christ. As I have put my trust in Him, I have always been given peace and assurance that this is His church, once again restored to the earth. I have been blessed to know that Jesus did die on the cross and atone for our sins, and three days later rose up again. So, if you wonder, "does this Brett guy really believe it all?" I have an answer for you. Yup. This Brett guy knows it for sure. I know God loves us. I know He wants us to return to Him, and that the only way back is through His Son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Hm... Well, a little while ago, I applied to go on a mission. A mission is a two year commitment to go wherever the Lord needs you to go. It requires minimal contact with family, and strict obedience to the missionary code of conduct. I decided to go on this adventure because I want to serve people and tell them all about our Savior, Jesus Christ, and what He did for us! This gospel is amazing and true. At college, I also served as a leader for about 30 other young men my age in our church congregation. We organized service projects and visited people who were sick or who had been less active in the church to see how we could assist. It was hard, but so rewarding! I loved getting to know these young men and leading them in helping our community.
