Hi I'm Amber Beauchamp

I love writing stories, singing, dancing, and learning everything I can to become a better more Christlike person. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm serving in the Illinois Chicago Mission! I'm so excited to be serving a mission, to help bring others the joy I feel in the gospel. I loving writing novels, ballroom dancing, and singing in choirs. I also love to study ancient Jewish cultures. It's fascinating to discover the intricacies of their faith and how it was all preparatory to Christ's coming. Writing about history is amazing! I love music and enjoying all of God's wondrous creations. It's incredible to see how much care and thought the Lord put into creating a marvelous world for us to enjoy because He loves us!

Why I am a Mormon

"We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us," (Philippians 4:13). What a profound and true scripture that is. I know that the Lord will always be there for us, waiting to encircle us in His merciful arms of grace, and that if we turn to the Lord with all our hearts, miracles happen, peace fills our soul, and we can see ourselves the way Christ see us. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, translated by an inspired man of God, whom He blessed with the ability to do such a marvelous work, and that we, too, can be blessed in our weaknesses by following its teachings that were meant for us individually in our day. I know that the church is true, and that temples are here on earth to seal us to our families eternally, and to continue strengthening the bond of the Abrahamic covenant, and the blessings that follow from it. But most of all, I've seen the power of the Atonement and love the Savior has for each and every one of us as our older Brother, and never failing friend, who is always beckoning for us to come to Him so we can become one in Him. I know Christ loves all of us, like I love Him. I want to live my life so I can return to God's presence one day, which is why I'm a member of His church, so I can know and follow the Lord's counsel and commandments for our day to receive His blessings and guidance in my daily life.

How I live my faith

I love singing in the multiple choirs that the church has, and participating in the service projects we do with the community, since it gives me a chance to serve others.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Amber Beauchamp
No, not all Mormons are required to go on missions. Boys are strongly counseled to serve a mission at age 18, and the girls are invited to serve at age 19. Serving a mission is a great blessing to all who serve, but it is not required for all Mormons to serve one. It is an opportunity to devote your life twenty-four seven, to the Lord's work for two years. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Amber Beauchamp
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is a companion, a second witness to the truths in the Bible. It is a collections of the prophet's words shared in the ancient Americas, all testifying of the Lord and His love and Atonement. The book contains precious truths and Christ's teachings when He visited the people here on this continent after He was crucified and resurrected. Show more Show less
