Hi I'm Mireya

I love listening to music and making people laugh. I grew up all over the place. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of 8 siblings and love my beautiful family. I love listening to music and making people laugh. I grew up in a few different states and got to know lots of different people. I love making friends. I'm pretty shy until I know people a bit. I love love love laughing and crying at the same time, favorite emotion. This gospel makes me happy. I'm serving a mission at the moment and I love the adventure of being a missionary. My life is such a blessing. Family, friends, laughter, love of this gospel, and experiences that help my faith and testimony grow every day. I love being a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this gospel. My parents were Mormon so that's the religion I was raised in. Throughout my life going to church, reading scriptures and praying were normal to me. I had a testimony but it wasn't as strong as I wanted. One night, I said a prayer and an answer came. That was when I knew that God loved me and that he heard me and that he was aware of me and my life. My testimony grew even more after I read the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time. I love the testimony of Christ that book holds. There's so much guidance and counsel found. I noticed I prayed the more I read and read the more I prayed. The gospel has changed my life even though I was raised in this gospel. The knowledge of Christ and His Atonement keeps me going, makes me want to be better, to be a good person. Makes me want to share it with other people who don't have that knowledge of their Savior, because he is Wonderful and I would not be the same person without him and his love for me.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a mission in Manchester England and loving the adventure!! Serving a mission is something I always wanted to do and now I'm actually doing it. I'm far from perfect and there are some trying days but I wouldn't trade being here for anything. I love this gospel. I love the truth of it all. I love being able to share it with the world. Blessings fall from heaven every day and I laugh a lot of the time, even in the rain and cold, adventure and love are found.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ by getting to know Him. Jesus Christ knows all of us. He will never fail us. He understands everything we feel, what we go through, the experiences we have, every emotion, temptation, and pain. He knows everything about us. Christ understands more than anyone else. Our faith in Him comes from trusting him believing in him, and knowing that he will always be there for us. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are important to us because we believe we can be with our families for forever. We get to be a part of families, we're born and raised and we learn everything in life from our families. I wouldn't call my family perfect, but they are the most important people in my life and I wouldn't be the same without them because along with this gospel, they made me who I am. Through experiences, good and bad, they've always been there and loved me for me. We are God's children, He is our Father, and he loves us so much, He doesn't want us to be alone so He gave us families. I know that we are put into our families for a reason and we can do our very best to make them the strongest they can be. We are God's children and we're his family. Show more Show less
