Hi I'm Candace Marie Bickmore

I'm a best friend, sister, daughter, and disciple of Christ. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a college student at Brigham Young University of Idaho. I major in Therapeutic Recreation where I have the opportunity to help those with disabilities, diseases, or disorders. I have a brother with special needs and being involved with this major has helped me grow closer to my brother. I see him as God see's him and loves him regardless of his differences. I want to learn to help and love others and bring light to their lives through recreational activities. I love to be athletic! I'm all about that runners high, and I love soccer, and wakeboarding. I would do anything for my family. I have a yours mine, and ours family. Our family includes 6 girls and one boy, with two wonderful parents of course. We're quite the group and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have learned to follow my parents counsel as well as seek help from my Father in Heaven. I have found that in a challenging world it is easy to be swayed and let down our standards. Although it’s easy to give up, I know with a surety that the gospel gives me more freedom and happiness than I can even understand. Happiness that will last me an ETERNITY. Most of my sisters are not active in the church. I want for them the same happiness and joy that I find in the gospel. Sometimes we lose our loved ones or we even just have to say goodbye to those we care about for a short period of time. Its times like these when I KNOW that God's plan is perfect and divine. The family is central to God’s plan and because of this we can live with our families forever. I know that the only way I can do this is through the atonement of Jesus Christ and through living a worthy life as his disciple.

How I live my faith

Being an active member in the church I have learned the importance of love and serving others. I have been able to participate in a women's organization in which I learned the importance of reaching out to others and helping them understand how much God loves them. I live my faith through my testimony. I have been raised in the church; however I have decided for myself that I am going to be a disciple of Christ. I strive to put God first in all things. I pray that God will help me to perform well on exams, projects, and assignments. I strive put God first in my relationships with loved ones and friends.
