Hi I'm Eileen

I'm a mother of seven children and grandmother to twenty-six precious grandchildren. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Spending time with my husband and family brings me joy. I love to bake cinnamon rolls and share them with family and friends. I enjoy knitting hats for children. Music has been a big part of my life. Participating in the church has given me opportunities to grow and serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an active and faithful Mormon family. When I was about twelve, I asked my Mother how I could know if the Church were true. She suggested that I read the Book of Mormon. Mother set up a "contest" with my older sister and me to read the book and see who could finish first. It took me most of the year, but I read every word. I didn't win the contest but when I finished the book, I had no doubts, I knew the Book of Mormon was true. Moroni's promise at the end of the book, "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. This promise proved absolutely true and my testimony has grown roots and branches and sustained me all my life.

How I live my faith

My husband and I have served five missions together. Our next mission assignment starts on the first of July. Serving the Lord has given us many opportunities to meet incredible people all around the world. Reading the Book of Mormon brings me peace. My membership in the Church has given my life direction and happiness.
