Hi I'm Devin

I grew up in South Jordan, Utah. I've been teaching snowboarding for three years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, so I've always been near the mountains. Because of that, I've recreated there my entire life. Whether snowboarding, hiking, skiing, or camping. I taught snowboarding for three years. I always love spending time in gorgeous nature, with those that are close around me. I don't just snowboard though, there is also long boarding. I've done that for nearly eight years now. I attended a semester of college after high school for Technical theatre. I've worked in stage productions since 2005. As i continued to work technical theatre through out those years, I was able to start working at the LDS Conference center. Putting on shows is a lot of work, but when you are doing it because of the love that you have for the savior, it makes it worth the effort.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and spend the majority of my childhood and early youth highly involved in it. However, once I started high school, I separated myself from the true principles, which proved to be a large mistake. Following high school, I went off to college. While there, I learned how lonely I was without my family, and worse, without God in my life. From then, I made decisions to start living the true principles that I had learned as I grew up. Upon returning from college, I decided it was time to take a break from the world and come closer to God. I needed to grow my relationship with him. Part of growing that relationship was mending family relationships that I had damaged. Working to repair them, Heavenly Father taught me of his love for me, proving to me that he had provided me with an eternal family. It is that very hope that I want to share with everyone around me.

How I live my faith

As I've learned the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I've been able to understand how we are to act towards others, ourselves, and the attitude that we should have in general about what Jesus Christ has done for us. I'm incredibly grateful for his atoning sacrifice. Without it, I would never be able to change as I have.
