Hi I'm Andre

I am a B-Boy (Breakdancer), a musician, and a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I strife to live my life. By this I mean I look for new experiences, new people, and new ways to progress. I grew up learning from my parents that there are always ways to get better and as long as I can remember I've been putting this into practice. I have just finished my second semester at college and I'm almost sure that I want to major in civil engineering with a minor in anthropology. This would allow me to participate in humanitarian projects. Along with the benefits of traveling to new places and meeting new people. I'm also a breakdancer. When I was introduced to this form of expression I was hooked. It allows me to show who I am and gives me a place to belong. It's not just a dance or a sport but it is also a culture that has allowed me to learn and grow. I am about to serve an LDS mission. I will be serving in the Argentina, Resistencia mission for 2 years. I could not be more excited to serve by sharing the gospel to the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church so I grew up learning the truths of the gospel all my life. I saw the good the church did to those around me. But I did not completely convert till I asked myself if I really believed it. Since we are encouraged to found out for ourselves I committed to praying and asking God for an answer. When I received an answer I felt it was my duty to share the happiness it has brought to my life. Because every day I benefit from the blessings of the gospel I try to better myself and spread the blessings to those around me.

How I live my faith

I believe that I have a duty to help those around me. Around my community I try to give time by helping immigrants learn English. And In church I aim to be an example and strengthen the faith of others by assisting the local missionaries and helping the local LDS youth. I will also be serving my mission soon.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

In my life the gift of the Holy Ghost was a clear indicator of the truth of the gospel. Whenever I had a doubt or a question, it was always answered through the Holy Ghost. The feeling of the Holy Ghost is different to everyone but to me it has been a feeling of not only comfort but also of true peace. I have utilized it in my life to guide me in all situations, big or small, and has kept me away from danger. I know that everyone can feel the influence of the Holy Ghost in their life but it is also important to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by becoming confirmed a member of the Church. It is important because It can guide us through all the difficulties we have in this life and give us comfort when we need it. Show more Show less
