Hi I'm Sessions

I grew up in a small rural town in Wyoming, and love the outdoors. I am a mormon.

About Me

I lived in Wyoming most of my life. My hobbies include: fishing, camping, welding, woodworking, backpacking, and reading. I am an Eagle Scout, youth BEC (Basic Emergency Caregiver), and Lifeguard. I am now a missionary in Raleigh North Carolina. My family includes my parents, two sisters and a brother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have asked God and he has answered my prayers. I grew up in the church and always followed the commandments and standards because my parents wanted me to not because I knew it was. As I grew older and the began to be pulled this way and that, and I soon wondered what was true and what was not. This led me to start studying the scriptures, pondering what I had read, and fervent prayer. Through this I was able to gain a testimony of this gospel and its truth, that God does hear and answer everyone, though not on our time scale. That attending church is not just something to do, it is a way to learn more about Christ and come closer to him. The Book of Mormon is more revelation here on earth to help us return and live with our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I do this through helping people as much as possible, praying, and reading my scriptures daily. I look for opportunities to brighten somebodies day and make life easier for somebody else. This can be be physically helping them or spiritually helping them through problems they have.

Who are the Mormons?

Mormons are Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The name Mormons is a nickname that comes from the Book of Mormon. A book we believe to be another Testament of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the center of our church. As the prophet Nephi says "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." 2nd Nephi 25:26. In addition to believing in Christ we believe that it is the same church Jesus Christ set up when he was on the earth. With apostles and prophets that are called of God. This is who we are as Mormons. Show more Show less
