Hi I'm Alex!

I was born and raised in Cranbrook, BC Canada. Raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in British Columbia. Cranbrook has a very small percentage of members there. My parents are both converts to the church and both served missions shortly after their conversion. Their dedication and example has blessed my life beyond comprehension. The area I lived in allowed me to learn to love snowboarding, golfing, biking, competitive trampoline gymnastics, and of course, hockey eh! I've also had the opportunity to work as a hockey referee, at a grocery store, landscaping, security for concerts, a herbicide applicator, and as a gymnastics coach. My favorite is now as a full time missionary. Serving in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission. My testimony has been strengthened more than I ever thought through the blessings and miracles I have experienced here.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I grew up in the church. My parents taught me about about Jesus Christ and that's why I strive to follow his example day by day. I continue to follow the faith because I've had a personal witness from the Holy Ghost -through prayer- that this church is true and that it's the only true church on the earth with Gods Priesthood authority. Along with this fact comes that we are led by a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, again as in times of old. We have evidence of this you can hold in your hands. The book of Mormon. Found and translated by the power and gift of God by Joseph Smith. Read, ponder and pray about the message it contains to know for yourself. Moroni 10:3-5.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith as a full time missionary in the Nevada Las Vegas mission and will be doing so from March 2013-March2015.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a personal spiritual witness of truth given to an individual by the power of the Holy Ghost, the third member of the Godhead. It is gained as you pray and ask God a question. He will answer through the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost testifies of truth. When you receive a spiritual confirmation of your question you will know it must be true. These answers are powerful, but quiete and gentle. It may be as simple as a peacful assurance. When you receive your answer you will know it. Be patient and continue to pray until this witness is gained and you in turn may have a personal testimony. Show more Show less
