Hi I'm Valdelino

I'm Black, I'm happy, I'm Val, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met the church when I was around 5 years old but didn't get baptized until I turned sixteen. My sister and I were baptized first and for a long period the only members. My mom was baptized afterwards, my father had passed away. Through my example my cousin joined the church and we served a mission together in 1985, in this mission him and I devoted 2 years of our lives to preach the gospel and help people in need. When we finished our mission we returned to our regular lives. I married my beautiful wife, have two children 15-year old girl, 23-year-old boy. I am studied Social Communication-Journalism and English Literature. I traveled to many countries within Europe, Morocco, Argentina, United states and Canada. I would love to go to Japan, Dubai and Peru.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I believe in God; I know that he is my father in have, that he loves and because he loves he sent his son Jesus Christ to the earth to die for me and for the world. Loving me as He does, he also organized his church once again, exactly as Christ had done in the past. Because the religion Mormon and the Culture Mormon changed my life and my families drastically, for the better of course. I owed everything I am to my parents and to the church. The teaching I received in the church complemented that I did at home. If it weren't for the church and its teaching I do not know where I'd be today. I learned about the gifts of the Holy Ghost; one of it is the gift of tongues which is, instead of speaking a strange language which no one understands as other believe, speak in other people's language in a way which they can understand. My mother tongue is Portuguese, as I was born and raised in Brazil, I learned English in my teenagers and after my mission I learned Spanish, Italian and French. These languages came so easy to me and I do believe that this is the power of the Holy Ghost operating. I haven't always been as much good to God as He expected, nevertheless, He has loved me unconditionally I know that He has delivered from from the evil and Has never deserted me even when I didn't deserve it. Because I know God is mindful of me, He sent his missionaries to teach my family a long time ago when I was around 5 years ago, because of ignorance of some people we were hindered from being baptized at that time, but the Lord provided a way when I was fifteen years old. Through my sister and the missionaries the Lord once again gave me and family the opportunity to receive His and accept His gospel. I am also a Mormon because I learned about something called 'the word of wisdom' which is something that help me to live more healthy and also because we have, what we call the articles of faith and the first says 'We believe in God, the eternal father and in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend church regularly on Sundays, I visit my fellow members often, I help with the organization of the meetings and like to help other to have a lighter life.
