Hi I'm Bobby

I was born in California, but grew up mostly in Utah. I'm a Theater major in college who wants to teach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a nerd, through and through. I have a deep love for fictional universes, Star Wars, Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, Azeroth, Starcraft, Warhammer fantasy and 40k. I'm a big fan of Video games, I play League of Legends, Final Fantasy. I am also a big fan of tabletop games and RPG's, I've played Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer 40k, Dragon Age, Eclipse. When it comes down to it, if it's a game, and I can enjoy that time with others, I'm there and ready to nerd it up! I am also a very theatrical person, having been a Theater major in college and a member of the Snow College Improvisation Team: "Let them improvise". I graduated from Clearfield High School in 2008, and just finished my first semester at Snow College, but more importantly I am currently serving an LDS mission in Mesa, Arizona.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout the scriptures, Christ has said: "Ask and ye shall receive, knock, and it shall be open unto you." Christ has given us a challenge, to ask and act, and see if this is not right. That is the challenge I took, though I cannot tell you when I gained the knowledge I have now. It started very small, even as just a hope, but as I followed in faith, searching for truth, Heavenly Father has given me little pieces of truth. Now, I cannot deny the feelings that have come by studying The Book of Mormon, the thoughts that have come from modern day prophets, or the answers that have been given by asking in humble prayer. I have not seen an angel, or heard an otherworldly voice proclaiming this church is true, but I have heard the still, small whisper of the Holy Ghost, and can boldly say that I know that this is Christ's church once again restored to the earth!

How I live my faith

I currently am serving in an LDS mission in Mesa, Arizona. As a follower of Christ, I want to share the joy that comes from his atonement. I don't know about you, but I can't see heaven without my family there and with me forever, and I know I'm not the only one. So I am giving 2 years of my life to our Heavenly Father to share the message that we can be with our families forever, that our purpose of this life is to have joy with God eternally, and to share the love of our savior with all mankind!

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Bobby
There are many reasons which we came to this earth, to gain bodies, to learn, to have families.. however my favorite answer to this question will always be: "men are, that they might have joy." (2 Nephi 2:25, p59 The Book of Mormon) I cannot think of a better answer to "the great question" other than to have joy in not only this life, but the life to come. Jesus Christ, has provided that way, that we do not have to be lost in our mistakes, but rather can live happily with The Father for all eternity! Show more Show less
