Hi I'm Brittany Louise Bayles

I'm from Brigham City, UT. I'm serving for 18 months in the Raleigh, North Carolina mission, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and will be serving an LDS mission for the next 18 months in the Raleigh, North Carolina mission. I love to dance and sing and I participated in choir and dance team during my high school years. I just finished up a year at Utah State University and plan to pick up school once again after I finish up my mission. I'm the oldest child of 5 and the oldest Grandchild of 27.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and my family has always been active in the church. As I was growing up I never doubted the truth of the Church, I've always known it was true. I didn't always have my own testimony of the gospel, when I was young I piggy-backed off of my parent's beliefs, but the older I became the more my testimony of this gospel grew and I was able to gain a testimony of my own that this is the only true and living gospel on this earth. I've felt my Savior's love for me when I needed him most and I know that the church of Latter-Day saints is his living church upon this earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving everday to love those around me and to serve them. I try to be a better person everyday and become more Christlike in the way that I live my life. I have chosen to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to spread the love and joy that this gospel brings into my life. Serving others and sharing my beliefs with them is how I live my faith and strive to become more like my Savior. But even in the small ways I feel that I can live my faith. By saying hello to a stranger in the street, by stopping to say a prayer when I need help from my Father in Heaven, or by sharing a scripture that I've read with a friend so that we may be uplifted together. I live my faith by just being myself and allowing others to be themselves!

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Brittany Louise Bayles
In my own life I have seen multiple blessings come from reading the Book of Mormon along with other passage of scripture. For some reason, I can only seem to be my best self when I prayerfully study from the Book of Mormon every day. I am able to feel Christ's love for me and understand the importance of being a daughter of God. The Lord has commanded that we read from His words and when we obey the commandments of God, we are blessed. Because God loves us he is willing and enthusiastic to bless us, even when it's just as a result of reading a couple pages of scripture a day. Show more Show less
